What a 3D scan is — and why it improves your estimate
A 3D scan is a measured capture of the room, not a marketing gadget. We use it so the written estimate is based on the house in front of us rather than a sketched rectangle.
What happens on site
During the consultation we can scan the kitchen, bath, or ADU site to capture dimensions and how planes meet. That data informs layout talk, material quantities, and the written scope.
Why it changes the estimate
Coastal houses are rarely square. A tape measure across one wall misses the out-of-plumb condition that shows up when cabinets land. Scanning reduces the surprise between proposal and install — which is the whole point of a written estimate.
